Best Employers International
2014 AARP Best Employers International Award
Publish Date: October
AARP Best Employers International (BEI) promotes opportunities for people to extend their working lives, to the benefit of individuals, corporations, and society as a whole. AARP BEI spotlights innovative workplace policies and practices that support workers of all ages, through awards, research, and programs.
The AARP Best Employers International Award honors non-U.S.-based organizations that value the skills and talents of experienced workers, meet their needs, and provide a path for future workers. Previous winners have been large and small, from many sectors, and from many countries. They all demonstrate innovative practices and a commitment to age-friendly practices that help workers of all ages.
AARP and its partners welcome applications from small, medium, and large organizations, including for-profits and nonprofits, charities, foundations, and government agencies.
Because policies that benefit older workers often benefit all workers, the programs considered do not have to be dedicated exclusively to older workers. However, employers who can demonstrate that older workers particularly value their programs may receive additional credit in the evaluation process.
U.S.-based organizations are not eligible to apply for this award.
