Information About Session

Join us at our session on November 5 from 3:00 - 4:15pm (local Doha time) in Room 11. 

This session will spotlight exemplar strategies and action plans dedicated to ageing, share policy considerations to improve future design and implementation of action plans on ageing including practices that engage older persons and civil society organizations in policy design and development, and the session will disseminate promising policies, practices, and programmatic innovations – taking place as a consequence of action plan implementation – globally to support ageing populations.

This Solutions Session will focus on:

  • Highlighting the opportunities and challenges of global population ageing.
  • Promoting action plans on ageing as strategic frameworks for inclusive, whole-of- government responses.
  • Showcasing how these plans can unlock the societal and economic potential of ageing populations.
  • Featuring multi-stakeholder partnerships— enabled by ageing action plans—that drive health, inclusion, and wellbeing across sectors and levels.
